History of Toyota Shigyo
1953 (May 20, 1953) Rinzo Toyota establishes Toyota Shoji in Semba, Osaka as a manufacturer and seller of shirts and men's clothing under its own brand "Himalayan Lion".
1959 (Showa 34) Following Toyota Shoji, Toyota Shigyo was established in Hirano-ku, Osaka as a sewing thread manufacturing factory.
1975 (Showa 50) Started gas Singeing prosess with the introduction of a Gas Singeing machine
1976 (May 1, 1976) Toyota Shoji and Toyota Shigyo merged and the company name was changed to Toyota Shigyo
1988 (Showa 63) Introduced a high-speed Gas Singeing machine
1998 (Heisei 10) Moved the factory to Kanan-cho, Minamikawachi-gun
Taking advantage of the relocation, scaled down sewing machine thread production and focused on Gas Singeing prosess
1999 (March 25, 1999) Koji Toyota takes office as Representative Director
2000 (Heisei 12) Introduced a vacuum steam set machine
2013 (Heisei 25) Jointly developed a Gas Singeing winder machine with the 2013 manufacturing subsidy
2016 (Heisei 28) Introduced yarn twisting machine
2016 (Heisei 28) Head office relocated to Kanan-cho, Minamikawachi-gun
2021 (March 25, 2021) Koji Toyota appointed as Senior Advisor
Seiichiro Toyota appointed as Representative Director
The first president, Rinzo Toyota, and the men's clothing store "Toyota Shoji"
